1. Non-Custodial Service

ChainTx.Tools is a client-side interface. This means that we do not have access to your private keys, seed phrases, or funds. All cryptographic operations (signing transactions, generating keys) occur locally within your browser using JavaScript.

2. Data Collection

We believe in data minimization. As such:

  • No Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, or phone numbers.
  • No Server-Side Key Storage: Your private keys are never transmitted to our servers. They remain strictly on your device.
  • Server Logs: Like most websites, our hosting provider may collect standard server logs (such as IP addresses and request times) for security and diagnostic purposes. This data is not linked to your blockchain activity within the tool interface.

3. Local Data Storage (localStorage & IndexedDB)

To provide a seamless user experience and persist your data between sessions, we utilize your browser's local storage capabilities: localStorage and IndexedDB.

What we store locally on your device:

  • Application Settings: Interface preferences, themes, and network configurations.
  • Wallet Data: Encrypted private keys or addresses that you explicitly choose to save.
Important: This data lives exclusively on your specific device and browser. ChainTx.Tools cannot recover this data if you lose your device or clear your browser cache.

4. Blockchain Interaction

When you broadcast a transaction using ChainTx.Tools:

  • The signed transaction data is sent to a public blockchain node (RPC) to be included in the ledger.
  • Once broadcasted, transaction details (amount, sender address, receiver address) become publicly available on the blockchain. This is inherent to how blockchains function and is outside our control.

5. Third-Party Services

Our tools may connect to public RPC nodes or third-party APIs (e.g., to fetch current gas prices or nonce). These third-party services may see your IP address when your browser makes a request to them.

6. User Control and Data Deletion

You have full control over your data. Since we do not store your personal data on our servers, we cannot "delete" your account for you—there is no account to delete.

To remove all data associated with ChainTx.Tools, simply clear your browser's cache, localStorage, and cookies.
