Update Solana NFT Metadata
Change the on-chain metadata of a single NFT or of a whole collection: name, symbol, URI, royalties, creators and mutability. Pin new JSON and images to IPFS. Every transaction is simulated before you sign.

Updating Metaplex NFT metadata
Solana NFT metadata lives in a Metaplex Token Metadata account (or, for Metaplex Core, in the asset itself). Its update authority can change the name, symbol, URI pointing to the off-chain JSON, royalty basis points and the creators list, and can make the metadata immutable forever. This tool loads the current metadata, builds updateV1 instructions (with the rule set for programmable NFTs) or Core update instructions, packs several updates per transaction, simulates all of them and lets you sign the whole batch at once. Items you are not the update authority of, or that are immutable, are listed and skipped.
How it works
- Connect the wallet that is the collection's update authority.
- Single NFT: load a mint and edit its fields. Bulk: paste a hashlist (or load it from the collection) and choose what to change.
- Optionally edit the off-chain JSON or upload a new image and pin it to IPFS to get a new URI.
- Review the changes, run the simulation and sign; failed items can be retried or exported.
Features
- Name, symbol, URI, royalties, creators and make-immutable.
- Bulk: set a field for all items, find & replace in URIs, or a per-item CSV (mint, name, uri).
- Legacy NFTs, pNFTs (rule sets handled) and Metaplex Core (name, URI).
- Off-chain JSON editor with IPFS pinning for JSON and images.
- Several updates per transaction, one wallet approval per batch, retries and failed-items export.
- Service fee: 0.001 SOL per NFT, charged inside each transaction — a batch that fails costs nothing.
FAQ
Who can update an NFT's metadata?
Only its update authority, and only while the metadata is mutable. The tool checks both for every item and skips the rest with the reason.
Will creators stay verified?
Creators that stay in the list keep their verified flag. New creators are added unverified — each of them has to sign a verification separately.
What does “make immutable” do?
It locks the metadata forever: nobody, including you, can change it afterwards. Marketplaces show immutable metadata as a trust signal. This cannot be undone.
Can I update a Metaplex Core asset?
Yes — name and URI. Royalties of Core assets are a plugin and are not changed by this tool.
How much does an update cost?
0.001 SOL per NFT plus the Solana network fee. The fee is part of each transaction, so you only pay for updates that land; the simulation shows the total before you sign.
